Let’s be honest: there’s nothing more frustrating than swapping out a lamp only to find your bottles coming out wrong. You see thin walls or that annoying pearlescent haze, and suddenly you’re spending your whole shift fighting with the oven settings. That happens because of the heating curve. If the wattage or the light spectrum is even a tiny bit off, the PET preforms just don’t heat evenly. It’s physics. That’s why we built our replacement lamps to be a mirror image of the Sidel Matrix originals. No more tweaking the dials We’ve matched the voltage and wattage exactly to what the Matrix oven expects. Why? Because it means the lamp hits the right temperature at the right time. When the power density is a match, the heat stays consistent across the preform. You won’t have to rewrite your oven profiles or slow down the conveyor just to avoid those annoying “hot spots” or cold zones. You just put them in and get back to work. The secret is in the glass Not all quartz is created equal. A lot of the cheap lamps out there leak energy in the wrong spectrum. They waste power and leave your plastic under-heated. We use high-purity quartz and a specific filament coating so the energy goes exactly where the PET can actually absorb it. Plus, we use standard industrial connectors. They just drop right in. No rewiring, no headaches. A quick tip for the install These are true drop-in replacements. They fit the footprint and wire up exactly like the factory parts. But here’s a thing to keep in mind: these shortwave lamps put out an intense amount of heat. If your cooling fans are clogged or acting up, you’re going to see “thermal drift” regardless of how good the lamp is. While you’re in there swapping the lamps, take a second to wipe down your reflectors. It’s a small step, but it’s the best way to make sure you’re getting every bit of that heating efficiency.
