Getting Them Installed
We made these as simple drop-in replacements. We use high-purity quartz glass so the heat gets exactly where it needs to go. Most of these will fit right into your current setup. But do me a favor:double-check your wattagebefore you plug them in. If you put a high-wattage lamp into a transformer that can’t handle it, you’ll fry the filament. It’s a quick mistake that costs you a new lamp. As for the connectors—whether you’re using R7s or those specific pin bases—they snap in tight. No loose fits, no sparking, no headaches.
One Thing to Keep in Mind
Here’s the trade-off. Because these lamps pack so much energy into such a small space, they get incredibly hot. Your oven housing is going to feel that. Make sure your vents aren’t blocked by grease or old trays. If the air can’t move, the heat builds up around the sockets and starts eating away at your wiring insulation. Keep the airflow clear, and your lamps will last way longer.
