Whether you’re running those old-school SBO units or the newer Matrix series, you shouldn’t have to worry about whether a part is going to fit. So, we stuck to the original blueprints. No guessing. No “close enough.” Getting the heat right Here’s the thing about Sidel blowers: they are picky. If the wattage or voltage is even slightly off, your PET preforms won’t hit that sweet spot for temperature. That’s how you end up with “cold spots” and wonky bottle walls. We matched the ADS system’s voltage exactly so your lamps don’t burn out way too early. You get the heat density you need to keep your cycle times fast. But a quick tip:**keep your cooling fans clean.**If the oven can’t breathe, the lamps will overheat and die. Simple as that. No fighting with the hardware Nobody likes forcing a part into a socket. It’s a great way to break something expensive. We kept the tolerances tight on the length and the end-caps. That means you don’t have to rewire your machine or “modify” anything just to get a lamp in. You just pull the old tube out, slide the new one in, and you’re back in business. A word on the glass We use high-purity quartz with a special coating. It’s designed to push the heat into the preform instead of wasting it on the oven walls. But these coatings are a bit temperamental.**Please, don’t touch the quartz with your bare hands.**The oils from your skin leave marks that turn into hot spots, and once the glass hits a certain thermal stress, it’ll crack. Use lint-free gloves. It saves you a headache later. By sticking to the factory standards for size and power, we’ve basically taken the guesswork out of your maintenance. You get the same heating profile you’re used to, regardless of which machine generation you’re running.
